    The Division of Community Development is responsible for administering federal grant programs funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services.

    Our mission is to strengthen Jersey City through fostering solid partnerships and responsibly investing our funding resources in the community.

    We seek to develop Jersey City as a viable community by promoting integrated approaches that provide decent, affordable housing, suitable living environments, public spaces, public services, and expanded economic opportunities.

Welcome to the Division of Community Development!

On or about July 23, 2024, the City of Jersey City will submit a request to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD for the release of HOME funds under Title II of the Cranston-Gonzalez National Affordable Housing Act of 1990, as amended to undertake projects known as Hilltop View at St. Johns and 307 Bergen Ave. For more information, please look for the FONSI Notice in our Data Center.
