The Department of Infrastructure was created in May 2022 by the City of Jersey City. The Department is responsible for the planning, design, and implementation of the City’s critical public infrastructure, including streets, transit, parks, public spaces, municipal buildings and other public facilities.

The Department Director oversees the Divisions of Architecture, Engineering, Traffic Engineering, Transportation Planning, and Sustainability, and the Office of Innovation.
