Landlord Registration for Non-Owner-Occupied Dwellings

Every landlord of a residential dwelling, unless owner-occupied, must file a Landlord Registration Form.

Form for the City

  • Dwelling with Fewer than 3 Units

If you are a landlord who owns a non-owner-occupied dwelling with fewer than three 3 rental units, you must complete the Landlord Registration Form and file it with the City Clerk. EMAIL THE FORM

Form for the State

  • Dwelling with More than 2 Units

A landlord who owns a dwelling with more than two (2) rental units, except an owner-occupied dwelling, must complete the Landlord Registration Form  and mail it to:

The Department of Community Affairs will forward a filed copy of the Landlord Registration Form to the City Clerk.

Form for Your Tenants

  • Copy of the completed Landlord Registration Form to the new tenant
  • Tenant signs and dates a copy of the form, as "received."
  • The landlord should include a copy of the signed and dated Landlord Registration Form with the tenant's permanent file
