Mayor Solomon Announces Open Community Town Halls Across All Six Wards to Address City Budget
Residents across Jersey City are invited to participate in facilitated dialogues with elected officials about the city’s fiscal challenges
JERSEY CITY, NJ (March 5, 2026) — Mayor James Solomon today announced the schedule for open community town halls across all six wards of Jersey City, inviting all residents to participate in constructive dialogue about the city’s budget challenges. The town halls are part of the administration’s ongoing commitment to transparency, accountability, and inclusive civic participation as the city navigates a critical fiscal moment.
Residents can register to attend at
JCNJ.ORG/COMMUNITYMEETINGS.
“Every resident of Jersey City deserves a seat at the table when it comes to decisions that affect their community,”
said Mayor James Solomon. “These open town halls are an opportunity for all of us—residents, community leaders, and elected officials—to come together, hear from one another, and work collaboratively toward solutions. We want every voice in every neighborhood to be part of this conversation.”
Following the initial community leader meetings held across all six wards in February, the administration is now expanding its outreach to the broader public. Advance registration is available through Eventbrite, and the city will provide phone-in registration assistance for seniors and residents who need support. All meetings will be livestreamed for residents unable to attend in person.
