Code of Conduct
JC Rise staff are representatives of the City of Jersey City and are held to the highest standards of professional conduct at all times — on site, during field trips, on social media, and in the community.
Required Conduct: Professional communication, punctuality, dress code compliance, no personal cell phone use during supervision, appropriate physical and emotional boundaries with campers.
Prohibited Conduct (grounds for immediate termination):

- Corporal punishment of any kind
- Profanity or degrading language directed at campers
- Unauthorized one-on-one interactions with campers outside of staff sight lines
- Sharing camper information on personal social media
- Being under the influence of alcohol or substances while on duty
