Police Recruitment Application 
The application must be submitted by 4 p.m. on March 31, 2026.  

HOW TO JOIN
  • Apply and pass the NJ Civil Service Entry Level Examination
  • Be a Jersey City resident
  • Be not less than 18 nor more than 35 years of age
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must have graduated from high school or vocational high school or possess an approved high school equivalent certificate
  • Possess a valid driver's license in the state of NJ
  • Pass a background check, medical examination, drug screening and psychological examination
